Headspace sampling for determining volatile compounds by GH-PID
Used with YL6500 GC gas chromatograph for ethanol and higher alcohol analysis
Headspace sampling is a sample preparation method for gas chromatography used with GH-PID to determine ethanol and higher alcohols in blood, urine and tissues.
Volatile compounds are transferred from the liquid or solid sample to the gas phase when heated in a closed vial, after which the vapor phase sample is introduced into a gas chromatograph with a flame ionization detector for separation and quantification.
The method is used to determine ethanol and higher alcohols in biological samples - blood, urine and tissues, which is used in toxicological and forensic studies in conjunction with the YL6500 GC gas chromatograph.
