Product overview

Open elongated straw for ultra-fast vitrification of oocytes and embryos

capillary loading of a fixed volume of straw-colored solution

The VitaVitro Open Pulled Straw (OPS) is an open, elongated straw for ultra-fast vitrification of oocytes and embryos. The original OPS device provides simple loading under microscopic control and combines heating with cryoprotection dilution in one step.

The straw is loaded with a drop of solution with the sample by capillary action, which sets a fixed volume and allows you to observe the process under the microscope at all stages, from loading to discharging the sample after heating. The closed design reduces the risk of cross-contamination when stored in liquid nitrogen. VitaVitro vitrification and heating environments.

The kit comes in a package of 5 color-coded straws for sample identification. The method is applicable for vitrification of oocytes, embryos in the crushing stages, morula and blastocyst, biopsy and shellless embryos, as well as cryopreservation of human embryonic stem cells. blastocyst; outside the United States for oocytes, embryos and/or blastocysts.
