Cleaver Scientific runSAFE is a ready-to-use, safe dye for staining DNA in agarose gels, supplied as a 6x boot dye and allows you to visualize stripes without a separate step of post-staining.
The dye is mixed with the DNA sample in a ratio of 1 part runSAFE to 5 parts of the sample and applied to the well of the gel as a normal boot buffer. Due to ultra-low toxicity and no penetration into the cells, runSAFE can be disposed of as normal laboratory waste, without special decontamination. For shooting, an amber emission filter installed on the bluVIEW cover or in the runDOC slide is recommended.
runSAFE comes in the form of a ready-made 6x boot dye (CSL-RUNSAFE, 1 ml bottle) with tracker dyes bromphenol blue, xylencyanol FF and orange G. The dye detects DNA in the size range from 50 p.p. markers to large super twisted plasmids, detecting from 0.2 ng DNA in the band under low background staining of the gel.
