Cleaver Scientific omniDOC is a modular gel documentation system for DNA, RNA and protein samples. The 5MP camera, UV transilluminator and interchangeable optical modules give the lab a single working tool for fluorescent and colorimetric recording.
The base system combines a closed camera, a 312 nm retractable UV transilluminator and white EPI illumination for positioning. Interchangeable filters adapt the device to EtBr, SYBR Green, runSAFE and other fluorophores. Optional blue LED module allows you to work with safe dyes, and a white light table with colorimetric gels and visible lights. The software does the capture and basic analysis of images; the data is stored on a connected PC or laptop.
Monochrome CMOS camera 1/2.5 inches, resolution 5 MP (up to 2592×1944), 12-bit image with 4096 gray levels. lens with a focal length of 5 mm and an aperture of F1.2; sample area up to 21×26 see UV transilluminator 312 nm size 21×26 cm with six lamps of 8 W. Standard filter EtBr 620 nm; optionally 520, 560 and 580 nm and neutral filter: A blue 470 nm EPI excitation module and a white 21x26 cm light table are available as options. USB connection to a PC, camera dimensions 410×405×570 mm, weight about 25 kg, power 110–230 V AC; a door lock switch turns off the UV when opened.
