Honor 1816 is a 16-capillary Superbio genetic analyzer with 8-color fluorescence detection for multiplex analysis. Combines Sanger sequencing and fragment analysis in one laboratory platform.

The system separates the tagged DNA fragments in an array of 16 capillaries, records fluorescence with a CCD detector, and transmits the data to sequencing and genotyping software modules. Eight-color optics expands the number of simultaneously distinguishable labels in multiplex panels, allowing the device to be used for STR typing, confirmation. variants and applied molecular genetic research.
