The Cage Incubator is an Okolab polycarbonate casing that completely covers the microscope for stable temperature, gas composition and humidity around the entire optical system during long lifetime photography.
A removable polycarbonate panel skin on a steel frame surrounds the microscope as a whole, including the table. The sliding front doors and side panels allow access to the device without disassembly of the camera, and the removable front panel on rotary loops makes maintenance easier. Optional black panels are used for shooting in dark conditions, and the built-in front panel is used for shooting in dark conditions. LED lighting with foot pedal and brightness adjustment makes it easier to work inside the camera, the system is suitable for most models of microscopes and is equipped with inserts under the XY table and piezo drive.
The temperature is maintained in the range from 3 °C above room to 45 °C with an accuracy of ±0.1 °C. The gas composition is controlled by digital or manual CO2 and/or O2 controllers. Humidity is provided by a vibration-resistant moisture module or an active humidity controller. Optionally available TTL signal for synchronization with external equipment.
