LAMP Detection of Food Pathogens: Results 15 Minutes After Enrichment
MDS platform for screening Salmonella, Listeria, E. coli O157 by LAMP
Molecular Detection Instrument is part of the Neogen MDS system for rapid molecular screening of food pathogens by isothermal amplification (LAMP).
After the enrichment phase, the device performs LAMP amplification of DNA and outputs the result in 15 minutes using a single enrichment protocol that does not require the selection of buffers and reaction mixtures for a specific pathogen. The compact configuration combines up to 4 devices and processes up to 384 samples in one run, which is suitable for the use of a single test. qualitative screening of Salmonella (including Salmonella Enteritidis/Typhimurium), Listeria spp. and Listeria monocytogenes, E. coli O157 (including H7), STEC on the genes stx and eae, Cronobacter and Campylobacter.
Isothermal LAMP amplification is resistant to common PCR inhibitors characteristic of food matrices, and in addition to quality sets, Salmonella quantitative analysis and the accelerated Listeria Right Now format are available.
