UV-release of barcodes from selected areas and read on nCounter or NGS
NanoString GeoMx DSP from Bruker Spatial Biology is a system of spatial profiling of RNA and proteins that links molecular data to the morphology of preserved tissue and helps to investigate disease mechanisms in selected areas of the sample.
After morphological marker staining, GeoMx scans the drug, allows interactive selection of geometric, segmented, cell-specific or contour areas of interest, and releases photosensitive barcodes with ultraviolet light. The collected barcodes are analyzed on nCounter or NGS. The non-destructive approach supports FFPE and freshly frozen tissue, collaborative RNA and protein research and scaling from individual compartments to large cohorts.
GeoMx DSP processes up to 8 slides per day at 12 areas of interest on slide and scanning field 10 × 10 mm. Minimum UV irradiation area is 10 μm, optics is a 20 × / 0.45 NA lens, four fluorescent channels; four standard slide loads are simultaneously. Built-in storage is 8 TB. Dimensions - 76 × 73 × 61 cm, weight - 100 kg, 110-240 V, 50/60 Hz, 440 VA. RNA and protein are supported, up to 96 targets when reading nCounter and up to 20,000 targets for NGS.
