The M380 is a fully manual rotary microtome for reliable microtomy without connection to the power grid.

The rigid structure and the smooth flywheel ensure the stability of the cut, and the large removable tray collects waste, and the cassette, object and blade holders are matched to the task.

Cut thickness 0.5-2 μm in increments of 0.5 μm; trimming 2-60 μm with differentiated pitch. Horizontal supply 30 mm, vertical stroke 68 mm Dimensions 530×377×281 mm, weight about 30 kg; power is not required.

Mechanics and accuracy

Horizontal feeding and retraction are performed mechanically, vertical stroke - a smooth flywheel.
The cut thickness is set by the trimm wheel on the left, the value is visible on the mechanical regulator above the clip.
The object holder is adjusted horizontally and vertically through a built-in fine-tuning mechanism.
