MEDITE AQ 540 transfers the paraffin slice from the microtome directly into a heated water bath, helping to carefully straighten complex slices and reduce manual operations.
The system combines a special disposable blade holder, transfer bridge and a illuminated thermostatable water bath; it is designed to work together with the MEDITE A550 automatic microtom. Laminar water film begins to straighten the cut directly when cutting. When the bridge is closed, the selected cut gently enters the bath for the purpose of cutting the water. It's evaluating and transferring to glass; when the bridge is open, wet waste is sent to a separate container and compactly folded, flow rate and operating parameters are set through the front-facing touch screen.

Principle of work
- A special disposable blade holder with integrated transfer bridge is installed on the automatic microtome MEDITE A550.
- Laminar water film begins to straighten the cut already in the process of cutting.
- When the bridge is closed, the selected cut smoothly enters the heated illuminated bath for evaluation and transfer to glass.
- With an open bridge, wet waste is sent to a separate container, compactly folding and reducing the volume of the water.
