The A550 is a fully automatic rotary microtome with programmable feed and five cutting modes.

Motorized feeding and cutting, flywheel or pedal control and Memory Positioning support repetitive serial work. Removable xylene-resistant tray makes cleaning easier.

Automation

Horizontal feed, retraction and vertical stroke by the motor are controlled automatically
Cutting can be performed manually with a flywheel for delicate samples, with fixation with a spring lever.
Memory Positioning can remember up to three positions for quick returns
Automatic slice counting

Membrane keyboard with digital display and customizable background
The top handle switches precise and rough settings and flips through the menu
The middle handle moves the sample clip back and forth.
The bottom handle sets the cutting speed separately for trimming and fine cutting.

Removable cut waste tray is xylene resistant
The foot control switch is available as an option
The set includes a magnetic brush for safe blade replacement
The blade holder is adjusted on an angular scale, a protective element is provided
