The H8 is a fully automatic HPLC Lifotronic analyzer for determining HbA1c and examining hemoglobin variants. The device combines the HbA1c result in 130 seconds, automatic analysis preparation and separate modes for hemoglobin and β-thalassemia variants.

The H8 works on the principle of high-performance liquid chromatography and does not require pre-sample preparation. The loader is designed for 10 samples, and the walk-away mode supports serial automatic processing. The device offers a Variant mode for HbA1c and hemoglobin variants and a β-Thalassemia mode for advanced fraction analysis. Two-wave detection and a built-in degasser support measurement stability, with control performed through a 10.1-inch touchscreen, and built-in memory storing up to 10,000 results.

The method is HPLC. In Variant mode, the analysis time is 130 seconds per test; in β-Thalassemia mode, 380 seconds per test. Loader, 10 samples. In Variant mode, HbF, HbA1c and V-window or S-window are generated; in β-Thalassemia mode, HbF, HbA1c, HbA2 and HbE/D/S/C fractions. Detection is two-wave, degasser is provided. Touch, 10.1 inches; memory, up to 10,000 records; manufacturer indicates traceability of HbA1c results across NGSP and IFCC.
