Oxford Nanopore’s flow cells form a scalable lineup from Flongle’s fast small launches to PromethION’s high-performance projects.
The group includes Flongle, MinION/GridION and PromethION Flow Cells in variants for DNA and direct RNA. The choice is determined by the amount of data, the device, the type of library and the need to reboot after washing.
Flongle: up to 126 channels and 2.8 GB; MinION/GridION: up to 512 channels and typically 15–35 GB; PromethION: up to 3,000 active channels and typically 100–200 GB. Pore, kit and chemistry compatibility is checked before order.
