The Eddy Jet 2W is an IUL automatic spiral seedling that combines breeding and inoculation on a single plate, reducing plate consumption and eliminating cross-contamination through disposable sterile microsyringes.
The device doses the sample in a decreasing density Archimede spiral, creating a concentration range on one dish equivalent to several consecutive dilutions. A new gamma-sterilized microsyringe is used for each sample, so no wash cycles and disinfectants are required. It supports a solid lawn for Kirby-Bauer, antibiotic gradients and inoculation options for mutagenicity. Barcode, printer and weights connection provide traceability.
Reproducibility over 99%; full cycle about 30 seconds. 25 distribution circuits, up to 37 with 150 mm dish modes, 90 and 150 mm dishes; minimum dosing step less than 10 nl, maximum sample volume 100 μl. Autocheck in six zones. Color touch screen 7 inches.
