Compact laser for hatching and embryo biopsy, built into a 40× lens without adjusting when installed
Integrated laser module for most inverted microscopes
ZILOS-tk is a compact laser for assisted hatching and embryo biopsy, built into a 40× lens and mounted on the turret of almost any inverted microscope without adjustment.
Hamilton Thorne's ZILOS-tk laser comes in the Gynemed range and is used for assisted hatching, pellucide thinning and embryonic biopsy (blastomer and trophyectoderm). The laser module is integrated directly into a 40× lens, allowing it to be mounted on the turret of almost any inverted microscope. Without further adjustment, and transfer between microscopes from different manufacturers, the RED-i target-spot is visible through the eyepieces and on the screen, and the isothermal rings display the expected size of the hole and the maximum temperature at the point of impact, and the laser can be activated with a foot pedal without being distracted from the microscope controls.
ZILOS-tk uses a solid-state infrared diode laser with a wavelength of 1460 nm and a power of 300 mW, safety class 1. In clinical mode, three fixed pulse durations are available - 200, 400 and 600 μs; the minimum pulse duration is 1 μs. The dimensions of the laser module with a lens - 42×28× 54 mm. Power supply - 100-240 V variable Current; the control software runs on Windows 7, 8 or 10.
