XL 640 is a fully automated biochemistry analyzer for medium and high workloads: 400 photometric tests per hour and up to 640 with optional ISE.
The random-access system prioritizes patients and STAT samples, dispenses R1, R2, and samples separately, and detects clots and serum indices. Refrigerated reagents, built-in barcode readers, bidirectional LIS connectivity, and remote service support reduce manual workload.
400 photometric tests per hour, or up to 640 with Na/K/Cl/Li ISE; 56 reagent and 82 sample positions. It has 60 permanent glass cuvettes, a 180 µL reaction volume, a diffraction-grating photometer with 12 wavelengths from 340 to 750 nm, and water consumption below 13.5 L/h.
