Product overview

Standardized Sweat Stimulation and Collection for Cystic Fibrosis Diagnosis in 30 Minutes

sensory control with step-by-step prompts, elliptical collector for children

Macroduct Advanced 3710 is a standardized perspiration and collection system for the laboratory diagnosis of cystic fibrosis, including newborn and infant screening, with sensory step-by-step clues and an elliptical collector to help produce a sufficient sample volume from even a small limb.

The system stimulates the sweat glands with pilocarpine iontophoresis, then collects sweat into a disposable collector for subsequent analysis of chlorides or conductivity on a separate analyzer. The device checks for the presence of Pilogel discs before launch, smoothly brings current to the working level and accompanys the procedure with screen instructions. The timer counts down 30 minutes of collection, and two collector tags allow you to estimate the volume and rate of sweating. The results of the procedure can be exported through micro-USB; the battery is rechargeable.

Model 3710/set 3710-SYS. Nominal current iontophoresis - 1.5 mA with controlled increase and decrease. Minimum collected volume - 15 μl in 30 minutes. Control - color touch screen; data export interface - micro-USB. Power - built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Weight of the device with a transport case - 2.3 kg. The case size is 13.5×4.5×9.5 inches, and the system is designed to stimulate and collect sweat; the quantification of chlorides is performed by a separate device.
