Microwave synthesis of peptides: less than 4 minutes for the addition of an amino acid
solid-phase synthesis with expansion to 12 parallel runs (HT12 module)
Liberty Blue 2.0 is an automatic microwave peptide synthesizer for rapid development and routine solid-phase synthesis: a typical attachment of a single amino acid along with deblocking takes less than four minutes.
The system automates reagent dosing, microwave acceleration of combination and deblocking, mixing and draining. No-Wash and UE-SPPS technologies reduce the number of washes and solvent consumption, and a fiber optic sensor monitors the temperature directly in the reaction vessel. The basic configuration can be supplemented with HT4 modules. or HT12 for queuing up to four or twelve synthesises, respectively.
Synthesis scale range - 0.005-5 mmol. The full cycle of amino acid addition - less than 4 minutes at a scale of 0.5 mmol; waste consumption - less than 6 ml per addition at a scale of up to 0.2 mmol. 27 amino acid positions and 2 activator positions are provided, microwave heating with direct fiber-optic temperature measurement and software supporting 21 CFR Part 11 requirements. Actual performance depends on the sequence, resin and the protocol selected.
