Identification panels YT, FF and AN

Product overview

Specialized panels for identification of yeast, mold fungi and anaerobic bacteria

Expand Biolog's Identity Base Beyond GEN III Aerobic Bacteria

The Biolog YT, FF and AN panels extend phenotypic identification to yeast, mycelial fungi, anaerobic and individual microaerophilic bacteria. Instead of multiple disparate biochemical tests, the lab receives a standardized 96-well profile and a single software interpretation.

YT forms a species profile of yeasts across 94 biochemical tests and combines color redox response registration with turbidity assessment. FF evaluates carbon source utilization by sporulating fungi and yeasts by red-orange redox color and growth. AN is designed for pure anaerobic cultures and part of microaerophilic bacteria, forming a The results are read on Odin or a compatible Biolog reader and compared with the manufacturer's profile databases.

All three solutions are made in the format of 96-well panels with pre-dried substrates; the recommended volume of inoculate is 100 μl per hole, storage is 2-8 °C. YT: 94 biochemical tests, incubation 1-3 days at 26-28 °C. FF: incubation is usually 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours at 26 °C; for osmophilic or very slow-growing mushrooms - up to 10 days; registration at 490 nm and turbidity at 490/750 nm AN: inoculate 65%T, incubation 20–24 hours at 35–37 °C, for individual species 30 or 26 °C, in an anaerobic atmosphere without hydrogen. All panels are for research purposes only and require pure culture and exact adherence to the appropriate IFU.
