Functional imprint of microbial community on 31 carbon sources in three repeats
96-well panel for monitoring communities of water, soil and active sludge
Biolog EcoPlate is a prefabricated panel for functional profiling of microbial communities of water, soil, active sludge and other environmental samples. It helps to quickly see how the metabolic activity of the community changes over time, between sampling points or after exposure.
Diluted sample suspension is applied directly to the microplate and recorded the kinetics of color profile formation. Recycling each carbon source causes the recovery of tetrazolia dye; the set of reactions forms the metabolic imprint of the community. community diversity and similarity, activity assessment, monitoring of bioremediation and exposure to toxicants.
The 96-well EcoPlate contains three repeatable sets of 31 carbon sources and control wells, which gives internal triplets in one panel. The manufacturer recommends kinetic reading; samples pre-refer to standard density, the panels are incubated, and then assess profile stability, color formation rate and color formation rate. The delivery is a box of 10 panels, catalog number 1506. EcoPlate is designed to analyze communities, not to identify individual organisms, and is not a medical IVD test.
