The bioPROBE system performs automatic sterile sampling with a volume of 5–50 ml from bioreactors and fermenters – from one reactor (single) to four independent lines at the same time (quad).
BioPROBE single is the initial level of automation for a single bioreactor: scheduled sampling, including night and weekend intervals without operator participation. bioPROBE quad is designed for parallel process development and serves up to four reactor lines with completely separate paths without common wet channels between lines. The system is compatible with glass, steel, disposable, autoclavable and sterilizable in-situ bioreactors; the sampler is supplied in reusable stainless steel or as a pre-assembled disposable sterile kit.
Sample sampling is performed according to the principle of sterile-by-design: the sampler is hermetically closed and under pressure control, opening only during sampling from a given point inside the bioreactor. After extraction of the sample, it can be filtered, cooled or frozen (optionally with iceBLOCK block) and collected into the specified vessels. Tripods or formats for later analysis, and management and monitoring are available via a web application from a computer or smartphone.
