Automatic reading and sorting of petri cups at speeds up to 700 cups per hour
Automatic reading and sorting of petri cups at speeds up to 700 cups per hour
with an AI analysis of colonies and accuracy of more than 98% relative to the reference calculation
A high-performance automatic petri dish sorter and reader for industrial microbiology labs. JULIUS combines robotic cup processing, colony AI analysis and physical separation of results at rates of up to 700 cups per hour.
The operator loads the plates into a carousel, and then JULIUS automatically reads the barcodes and Data Matrix, takes pictures of the entire surface of the plate in two lighting options, analyzes the growth and distributes the plates to customized areas. The system works with surface and deep inoculation, recognizes artifacts, supports different brands of environments and supports different brands of environments. It stores images and results for verification in JULIUS Quant. Ethernet or Wi-Fi connectivity allows export to LIMS without manual data transfer.
Performance up to 700 cups/h in continuous mode; loading carousel up to 450 cups per cycle lasting 45 minutes. Optical module 8 MP, dual lighting, claimed colony detection from 0.2 mm. For the sorting model, the manufacturer indicates accuracy of more than 98% relative to reference count. Local AI analysis without cloud Connections; Wi-Fi, Ethernet and USB interfaces: 793 x 1200 x 1750 mm, 160 kg weight, 110-230 V power, 50-60 Hz.
