SIDECAR is an extension of ALFRED 60/AST to a fully automatic complex that combines rapid analysis of liquid samples, inoculation on plates and their onboard incubation.
Once growth is quickly detected on ALFRED, the system automatically selects the nutrient medium, bar-seeds the liquid sample, and directs the plate to the incubation zone, which reduces manual operations, standardizes the inoculation, and links the result of the express culture to subsequent colonization. AFRED 60/AST, not as a standalone analyzer.
The complex consists of two modules - ALFRED 60/AST and SIDECAR. SIDECAR store holds 240 petri dishes and up to 12 different nutrient media. Sown dishes are incubated inside the system at 37 ° C for a specified time. The device provides separate zones of automatic bar inoculation, storage of dishes at controlled temperature and Incubation; configuration supports a continuous walk-away process for liquid samples.
